Although the ancient Celtic god of nature and all living things most often shown as a male head either formed out of leaves (hence the term ‘foliate head’) or disgorging vegetation from his mouth and often also his ears and eyes, our Green Goddess Mask Pendant revisions this god of nature as a woman. This beautiful pendant shows the feminine side of nature – symbolizing irrepressible life, renewal and rebirth, the eternal cycle of life, death and regeneration. By combining the human head with leaves and vegetation this can be seen as a symbol of the marriage of humanity with nature.
Our Green Goddess Mask Pendant is cast from 100% lead-free pewter.
