Lilith Pendant – Pewter
$29.00
Description
Lilith dates back to the bird-serpent goddess of antiquity. In Sumeria, she was portrayed as having both the wings and claws of a bird. According to some, Lilith was originally a Sumerian, Babylonian, or Hebrew mother goddess of childbirth, children, women, and sexuality who later became demonized due to the rise of patriarchy.
It is asserted that there has been continuous worship of Lilith to the present day – that her name is sometimes given by the priestess to the goddess being personified in the coven. She has been referred to as a presiding goddess of the Craft. Some believe that Lilith is a dark moon goddess on par with Kali.
Our Lilith Pendant shows her face in profile, her hair flowing back into a wing-like form.
