They would soar up their chimneys and glide out into the night air. It was this belief that helped the broom to become intrinsically linked with witches. In modern times, brooms are reminders of the power and unlimited possibilities of the Wiccan path.

Witches and familiars, oftentimes a cat, have long been associated with one another. A familiar is a supernatural being that helps and supports witches.
