Brigid (Brigit, Bre, Bridie), the Gaelic Goddess of Healers, Smiths, Poets and Bards. Hand Cast and lovingly made. The Goddess sits on an anvil, symbol of Metalsmiths, hammer, tongs, and sword are on the anvil. In Her hands are Healing Herbs.

This Brigid has an Otherworldly feel and look. Brigid is not just human, She walks between the realms of divinity and our world, and the animal realms, at home in all, restricted by none. The Goddess transcends human boundaries and exists in the realms of inspiration, healing and dynamic action.

Note from the Artist - "I sculpted this Brigid, and people either Love Her or Hate Her. She has qualities that some find unsettling. As a Metalsmith, I have honored Brigid for decades, and have very specific feelings about the Goddess and Her qualities. The face on this Brigid Statue has a decidedly feline feel to it, this is a quality that appeared in Brigid as I was sculpting Her, and it felt right to me, so I let it come through, as the voluptuous body came through on its own. This is an unusual Sculpture, but a powerful one that depicts the Goddess Brigid with subtle, but typically Celtic zoomophic aspects." ~ Abby Willowroot
